The character of the space
Read the room line. Ottobar’s calendar can put an all-ages early upstairs show beside a later 21+ bar event, while a separate touring bill runs downstairs. That makes “Ottobar tonight” incomplete directions. The support acts and presenter names also offer routes into Baltimore’s smaller booking networks.
Admission and tickets
The event page controls age restrictions. The FAQ says all-ages admission does not require ID, but age-restricted events and alcohol do. Under-21 patrons cannot re-enter after leaving. At review, show entry was online or cash at the door.
Access, in specific terms
The venue asks visitors needing accessible accommodation to speak to security or arrange it ahead of time. This is not a published guarantee of step-free access to the upstairs room. Name the event and the floor in your request.
Getting there
Use the Howard Street entrance. The venue warns that adjacent gated residential lots can lock vehicles in and that the lot directly behind the venue is unavailable. Check the official directions rather than reusing an old parking tip.
Putting on a show here
The official site has separate gig-request and event-request forms. A band should use the gig form and specify its actual draw, dates and recorded work. Use the ticket seller for an order problem.
Our read
Start here for a touring bill or a specifically listed local show, but save the floor with the date. The building’s late bar policy is not the policy for every early show.
