The character of the space
This is a separate venue inside the Somerville Theatre building, not the main movie auditorium. Its restored ballroom setting and mixed calendar make it a different proposition from an Allston bar gig. Choose the bill first; the room does not specialize exclusively in punk.
Admission and tickets
The sales page controls the age restriction. The venue requires government-issued ID for live events and says under-15s at all-ages events need a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise noted. Online sales usually use Ticketmaster; in-person purchases avoid online fees but still carry a restoration fee.
Access, in specific terms
The operator publishes elevator or ramp access to the ballroom, restrooms and seating areas. Contact ballroom@csbtheatres.com about a specific accommodation; the published policy recommends arranging it ahead of time.
Getting there
Find the doorway marked HOBBS BUILDING, between the theatre entrance and Mr. Crepe. The venue recommends Davis on the MBTA Red Line. Do not arrive at the movie entrance and assume it is the concert queue.
