The character of the space
AS220 puts performances inside a wider structure of galleries, studios and arts education. It is useful both to a person looking for a show and to someone who wants to make one happen. Its booking program is unjuried and uncensored, with a stated expectation that bills include a local performer.
Admission and tickets
AS220 describes its performance program as all ages. The individual event supplies the ticket price and timing. Free access for performers to book through the program does not mean every audience ticket is free.
Access, in specific terms
The performance page identifies multiple rooms but does not supply a complete access description for each. Ask booking@as220.org about entrance, restroom and viewing requirements for the named room. Do not transfer information from Main Stage to Black Box.
Getting there
Main Stage is at 115 Empire Street; Black Box is at 95 Empire Street. These are different doors. Use the room and street number on the listing. The office address is for administration, not a universal show entrance.
Putting on a show here
Use the live-arts booking form. Supply dates, the kind of event and other performers. AS220 asks for roughly a week to respond and says weekends are often booked two to three months out. Private rentals use a different form.
