One cut. Then a little patience.

1. Print one sheet on one side. Keep the top row upside down: pages 5, 4, 3, 2. The bottom row reads 6, 7, 8, 1.
2. Fold the paper into eight equal panels. Crease a horizontal fold through the middle and three vertical folds at the quarter marks. Open the sheet again.
3. Cut only along the central horizontal line between the first and third vertical folds. Leave the two outside sections joined.
4. Fold lengthwise, then push the short ends toward each other so the slit opens into a diamond. Bring the pages together into a small booklet, with page 1 at the front and page 8 at the back.
5. Read your proof from 1 through 8. Check the page order, tiny type, names and links before making more copies.
